To the King of Creative Hardware and Software….Steve Jobs! Check out this video tribute! Without Apple, Social Media would not be delivered so spectacularly! Thanks Steve for the ipad - love this game changer!
History shows that China used to be one of the leading innovators in the world. Now they excel at copying. At Art School I was taught to copy the masters before trying to innovate. Q: Since copying is the way to learn how to master any medium how long will it be before they lead in innovation once again?
The use of devices like tablets is highly under served and under estimated in enterprise IT but steadily growing in usage…number one issue? Security, I would think…Check out this great solution.
First ever video conference on Google + comes from the Buddhists~~ hanging out, talking about their situation ~~wishing things were different. Compare these Sales Styles posted on the Virtual Stock Market game called Empire Ave in which shares of a new listed person have been made. Not the difference in pitch between Hidden Ground and Chris Voss - who is making a Hard sell, who is making a soft sell? Which will work better in the long run on a social network where the USER wants to be recognized for his/her contribution and engaged in what is relevant to them??
Klout is not only about how you are influencing other but how they influence you! As with All things Social media it is the hidden ground of mutual understanding that brings us all up in the world! Recently Klout introduced it’s +KLOUT feature. This feature allows you to give out what I call Klout Props every day - up to five per day!
I heard about this and immediately wanted to give thanks to those who have informed me on various topics!
I started playing Empire about 6 mnths ago and like all games - the game of life included - struggled to figure out how to use it. One thing I have learnt over the years is to ask lots of questions. A few months ago I connected with Lady Hardcore and began asking her how she had become so successful. She gave me some tips and I applied them. So my first round of Klout Props goes entirely to her!
Which bring me to the HOW
It never fails to amaze me that the tek guys never want to spell out the exact step to using a new feature. Hearing about +Klout my first reaction was great! How? I asked on #EAv…and got a half answer, I googled and another couple…even Klout was not a full step by step process. What ever happened to the days when you had a good computer manuel style explanation. I know it is hard to communicate by text sometimes but remember that a step by step process is in order here….
Failing any good directions I did what an ARTIST will always do search for visual clues…BIG ones not tiny pics on a page but a link to the real thing. So I clicked on a link where someone had given props. And they I saw it.
Step one: Log in with FB or Twitter
Step two: Click on your “Influencers”
Step three: Click on an influencer that you want to give props to
Step Four: Click on their list of TOPICS
Step Five: Beside each topic you will see the little +KLOUT button, click to give props!
There that was easy, no?
Lady Hardcore you rock! Shout out to my e-town Homegirl!
One of the keys to being successful in Social Media is knowing exactly where you are going - just in case you get asked
In a famous exchange between Alice and the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, the importance of this step is acknowledged:
To quote Lewis Carroll in his famous work …
“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you want to go? was his response. I don’t know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn’t matter which road you take.”
